Review Week
This week we will be reviewing spelling words, sequencing, story details, sentences, word order, telling sentences, asking sentences, and naming parts of sentences. We will be having our first Theme 1 test on Friday of this week. Please help review with your child their spelling words. We will be reviewing throughout the week.
Welcome to First Grade
I want to welcome both the students and parents to First Grade. This will be an exciting year! Please remember to sign each night your child's planner and Smiley Face Star Chart. This lets them know you are following what they are learning each day at school.
RECYCLE!
If you have any old magazines that you are getting ready to recycle, please send them in with your child to be used in our classroom. We will put these to good use for many different activities in our studies. Also, I ask for a few newspapers that you might be disposing of as well. This would be a great help. We thank you for your help and support!
Drink Capri Sun and Earn the School Money
Turn in used drink pouches into our school to earn money, Our school will earn a $.02 donation for every pouch that is donated. That would equal $0.20 for a box of 10 Capri Suns. Start collecting now!
Time to send in Box Tops for Education
We are still collecting Box Tops for Education. Please continue to send these into school. Please bundle your Box Tops by the count of 50 in baggies when you turn them in. If you cannot make a bundle of 50, please indicate the number of Box Tops in the bag.
Tyson Chicken A+ for Education
If you use Tyson Chicken products, please cut the strip off the bag or box that has A+ for education. We can collect these to help get money for our school. Tell everyone you know. For each A+ we can earn up to 24 cents. We need your help!

Don't forget to keep collecting those can tabs for our First Grade Class. We will be taking them until the last week in April. We can use tabs from Aluminum cans, soup, dog food--basically any type of can tab! Tell everyone you know to save them for us!
